In the upcoming Knesset election in January, the Likud-Beytenu list, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and outgoing Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, will receive 70 percent of the votes of Israelis who emigrated from the former Soviet Union after 1989, according to a Ma'agar Mohot Institute poll commissioned by the Izrus Russian-language news website. Tzipi Livni's Hatnuah Party came in second in the poll at 8%, followed by Naftali Bennett's New National Religious Party at 7%. Shelly Yachimovich's Labor Party came in fourth at 6%. A new party geared toward immigrants, called "The Israelis" and led by Channel 9 television host David Kon, received only 4% in the poll. Shaul Mofaz's Kadima party also received 4% and Yair Lapid's Yesh Atid got 1%. According to the poll, the right-wing bloc will receive 77% of the Russian-Israeli vote while the Center-Left bloc will get 19%. The poll also found that the indictment of Lieberman on fraud and breach of trust charges had little effect on his level of support in the Russian-Israeli community and 80% of respondents said that the investigations against Lieberman were motivated by political and personal reasons.
