Following her appearance on a genealogy documentary program, actress Gwyneth Paltrow has announced that she intends to raise her children in the Jewish religion. Paltrow has two children -- Apple, 7, and Moses, 5 -- with her husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. The actress announced her intentions while in England, during a speech to the Community Security Trust, a charity managed by London's Jewish community. Paltrow's announcement comes on the heels of her appearance on the NBC genealogy series, Who Do You Think You Are- which documents celebrities as they explore their family trees. While filming, Paltrow discovered that her late father, Jewish film producer Bruce Paltrow, was descended from a long and distinguished line of Eastern European rabbis. The family's last name was formerly Paltrowitz. Paltrow's mother, actress Blythe Danner, is Quaker, and Gwyneth was raised in both faiths. Paltrow admitted that being raised both in more than one faith was such a nice way to grow up, but has also said, I don't believe in religion. I believe in spirituality. Religion is the cause of all the problems in the world. Paltrow has also studied Kabbalah in the past.
