In an attempt to capture "Israeli aggression" on film, Palestinian children confronted Israeli soldiers at a demonstration in Nabi Saleh last week, cursing and pushing them relentlessly. The film was uploaded to YouTube and clearly shows the soldiers remaining calm and passive throughout the assault.

The video, which has already been viewed by thousands of people, was filmed in the Palestinian town of Nabi Saleh, 20 kilometers (12 miles) northwest of Ramallah, which has been the scene of constant demonstrations against what Palestinians term the "Israeli occupation" for years.

In the video, a girl of around 10 and other children are seen cursing the soldiers for a period of five minutes, while several cameramen film the incident. The girl shouts at the soldiers, "Where did you take him? You are subhuman. You are a traitor. I know you speak Arabic. Our soldiers are stronger than yours. I will break your head." After spitting at a soldier, she says, "I spit at your face. Watch over your mother instead of confronting small children. You are a traitor who kills people to receive money from the dogs."

In one of the scenes, a Palestinian girl is seen pushing a young boy toward a soldier, but the soldier ignores the act and refrains from reacting to the obvious provocation.

Palestinian and European reporters and cameramen at the scene covered the incident and appeared to be waiting for the soldiers to react to the children's assault. At one point, a stun grenade was thrown by a soldier near the demonstrators but failed to deter them.

At the end of the video, soldiers are seen chasing a cameraman and arresting him.

A statement by the Israel Defense Forces Spokesman's Unit said, "IDF soldiers operate under guidelines of restraint as well as determination to contain disorderly conduct if it becomes violent and illegal."
