Israeli cybersecurity startup Aperio Systems was selected as the most innovative startup in the Cybertech Startup Competition powered by YL Ventures held as part of the Cybertech 2017 Conference at the Tel Aviv Convention Center this week. Founded by Yevgeni Nogin and Michael Shalyt, Aperio provides critical control systems defending users from external and internal cyber threats by using statistical physics and state-of-the-art machine learning technology. The company won two tickets to this year's RSA Conference in San Francisco. The cryptography and information security-related conference is the leading cybersecurity convention in the world. This was the fourth time Cybertech, the world's second-largest cyber technologies exhibition, took place in Israel. The conference brought together brought together hundreds of leading investors, entrepreneurs and cyber companies and thousands of visitors from around the world. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke at Cybertech on Tuesday.
"It is no coincidence that you are here in Israel," Netanyahu told the conference. "This conference has more than 10,000 visitors from five continents. The physical size of Israel has not restricted its power in cyber technology. Israel draws about one-fifth of the global investment in cyber technology. This is a coefficient of 200 relative to the size of the population."
