An Israeli teenager was electrocuted Saturday while on vacation in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, the Foreign Ministry reported. According to available details, Yoel Nitzani, 18, from Jerusalem, was killed attempting to repair an electrical outage in the beach hut where he was staying after a rain storm flooded it. "From what we know, the youth was staying in an area flooded by recent rainfall. He was trying to fix an electrical problem while his feet were wet and sustained critical injuries. Unfortunately, doctors were unable to save his life," Foreign Ministry Deputy Spokesman Eitan Weiss said. Nitzani's parents were asked to go to the hospital where their son was taken to identify the body. Israeli Ambassador to Egypt Yehuda Golan is assisting the family in transferring the body back to Israel for burial, Weiss said.
