Israeli supermodel Bar Refaeli engaged to businessman Adi Ezra

She has captured the hearts of millions in Israel and abroad, but only one man was able to capture supermodel Bar Refaeli's heart.

Businessman Adi Ezra, 40, proposed to Refaeli, 29, during a private vacation in the Caribbean this week, solidifying the couple's two-year relationship and putting an end to months of rumors and speculation about their nuptial aspirations.

According to sources speaking to Israel Hayom, Ezra popped the question on Wednesday evening and Refaeli, who was visibly moved, immediately said yes.

The two were introduced by mutual friends about two years ago, and other than a couple-months-long breakup, the two have been together ever since. The couple's friends say the proposal was only a matter of time.

In an interview in Israel Hayom's Rosh Hashana supplement last fall, Refaeli spoke happily of their relationship, hinting at the rosy future to come. Ezra is her first long-term boyfriend since she and actor Leonardo DiCaprio split in 2011, after a five-year relationship.

"I have always gone out with guys who are older than me," Refaeli said in the fall interview. "A 10-year age difference between a man and a woman isn't so crazy. I actually think it's a good thing."

She went on to say of her beau, "He went out with many other girls before me, he's seen and done many things, and that's just a much more complete place to come from. I prefer to date someone who has experienced and done many things and met people and is now ready to choose, rather than someone who doesn't know.

"I also wanted to see the world, to meet people, to go out and to experience life. I think it's really important to go through all of that, so that when the day comes and you find the one, you know that you didn't miss out on anything -- that you experienced and lived and saw and tasted everything and you won't regret a minute of it. Then, when you decide that's it, you're ready for the one, you won't regret it."

She spoke of her relationship with Ezra, saying, "I'm in a happy relationship, and we love each other very much. Everything fits and everything is just right. I won't speak for him, but the only thing stopping me from getting pregnant now is that it's so much fun with him that I don't want to change anything yet.

"I also don't want to exhaust our relationship -- I hope that never happens -- I still have not exhausted our connection. I want more and more.

"Also, I've basically been ready to be a mother since I was 22. I've had names picked out in my head for kids for the last eight years."

The happy couple is expected to return to Israel next week.
