Bill to allow women to manage rabbinical courts

Ministerial Committee on Legislation approves bill proposed by Habayit Hayehudi MKs Ayelet Shaked and Shuli Mualem-Rafaeli that would allow women to become directors of the rabbinical courts.

The Ministerial Committee on Legislation on Sunday approved a bill proposed by Habayit Hayehudi MKs Ayelet Shaked and Shuli Mualem-Rafaeli which would allow women to become directors of the rabbinical courts.

Today, the law prohibits women from managing the religious courts. The job is a managerial one that does not involve functioning as a judge.
