The Ministerial Committee on Legislation on Sunday approved a bill proposed by Habayit Hayehudi MKs Ayelet Shaked and Shuli Mualem-Rafaeli which would allow women to become directors of the rabbinical courts. Today, the law prohibits women from managing the religious courts. The job is a managerial one that does not involve functioning as a judge.
