The Israeli Air Force struck several terror targets in the Gaza Strip in the late hours of Thursday night, after a Qassam rocket fired from northern Gaza exploded on the outskirts of Sdot Negev Regional Council. No injuries or damage were reported as a result of the rocket fire. "In response to rocket fire towards Israel, an IAF aircraft targeted a terror infrastructure site in the central Gaza Strip and three concealed rocket launchers in northern Gaza Strip," the Israel Defense Forces said on its website. An IDF Spokesperson's Unit statement said, "The Gaza-based terror organizations will stop at nothing to harm Israeli civilians. The IDF will continue to act against anyone employing terror against the State of Israel." Also on Thursday, Israel Hayom learned that Education Ministry Director-General Menachem Cohen's car was stoned while traveling on Highway 443, late Wednesday night. Cohen sustained a mild injury in his arm and underwent surgery at the Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer. His son, who was travelling with him, was unharmed. "We were driving along when I heard a loud 'bang' and the side window shattered," Cohen said Thursday. "I felt a sharp pain in my shoulder but we kept going until we reached the hospital. It's a miracle my son wasn't hurt."
