Anti-Semitism is growing

How long will it take for Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallstrom's call to investigate the possibility of the extrajudicial executions of Palestinians to turn into a call to investigate whether Jews use Christian blood to bake matzah? If you're going for anti-Semitism, you may as well stick with the classics.

Wallstrom seems to believe that bold anti-Semitic statements will win her the adoration of the Muslims who have flooded her country (who may very well be fostering support for the Islamic State group as they congregate in Malmo and in other Swedish cities), but she has missed the boat. The government's most recent efforts to limit immigration will not succeed. The Arab migration has reached epidemic proportions.

Wallstrom, being a member of the Swedish government, knows this. And that is why the largest Scandinavian democracy did something unprecedented in its history: The government hid from its citizens the fact that Muslim migrants had been involved in shocking sexual assault cases. Sweden needs a group like Israel's "Breaking the Silence," to tell the residents of Stockholm that their government is hiding from them the disastrous consequences of its uncontrolled immigration policy.

But Wallstrom is not alone in Sweden. There seems to be support for her brand of aggressive anti-Semitism. If this weren't the case, she would have been asked to resign or to switch portfolios. Anti-Semitism is rearing its ugly head once again -- the Muslim migrants are only the vehicle, and their political influence is not limited to Sweden.

Who could have imagined, even in their worst nightmare, that the head of the Jewish community in Marseille, Rabbi Zvi Ammar, would call for Jews in the area to remove their kippot? Perhaps, in the interest of their security, they will also be asked to wear crosses? Or even keffiyehs? A divide has emerged among French Jews, with some removing their kippot and others calling to keep them on and fight this renewal of anti-Semitism.

This has happened, in part, because Europe's Jews closed their eyes and withdrew into the bourgeois comfort of their lives, hoping that the blazing streets, controlled by the Muslims, would not spill over into their homes. They should have protested (legally, of course) -- strength vs. strength, rally vs. rally, facing the aggressors instead of staying indoors, keeping their heads down and appearing like cowards in the eyes of the anti-Semites.

This is the truth today. It is also a historical truth. The Jewish state is waiting for Europe's Jews with open arms (even if there are obstacles to the absorption of French Jews in Israel). Likud MK Avraham Neguise promised on Tuesday that laws to assist in the integration of French Jews were underway. Europe is failing to protect its Jews. It is sad. But not to worry, at the Eastern edge of the Mediterranean sea, a harsh land and painful integration process awaits them -- it may be difficult, but it is a land that loves them.
