Traditionally, the stars shine high above the wedding canopy, but during the wedding ceremony for Interior Minister Gideon Sa'ar and Channel 1 news anchorwoman Geula Even, they were underneath it. The rumor mill finally stopped churning on Thursday with the news of the couple's wedding in the Tel Aviv home of media adviser Tal Zilberstein. The ceremony was attended by a small cadre of family and close friends, and was presided over by Western Wall Chief Rabbi Shmuel Rabinovitch. The event was kept secret until only a few hours before it began, with friends of the couple deliberately misleading the media by telling reporters that the wedding was taking place at ZOA House in the city. Even so, it appears the couple will not forgo a larger wedding celebration, and are planning a party for their larger circle of friends and acquaintances. This is the second marriage for Sa'ar and Even, each of whom was married for more than 20 years before divorcing. The interior minister has two daughters from his previous marriage, while Even has three children. The newlyweds, who were already living together before the ceremony, are now expecting a child of their own. Ever since the romance was first revealed in the media at the end of last year, the two have consistently appeared in gossip columns and are always followed by paparazzi. Their jobs have presented the couple with professional dilemmas, such as when Even was chosen to anchor the special election results broadcast and Sa'ar was a top candidate on the Likud-Beytenu party list. When Even later hosted a debate about Sa'ar's political future, Even opened the discussion by disclosing that the two were in a close personal relationship.
