Known for his leading role in the Hollywood adaptation of Spider-Man, American celebrity Tobey Maguire and his family landed in Israel on Thursday for a vacation mixed with business and pleasure. After settling in their hotel suite on the Tel Aviv boardwalk, Maguire, wife Jennifer Mayer and their two children toured the beach area surrounding their hotel and then went out for dinner at a Tel Aviv restaurant. The following morning, the A-list star caught some waves at the beach and even gave local surfing beginners expert surf techniques. Maguire and his family were set to continue their visit in Israel with a tour of Jerusalem on Sunday. The nature of the visit is also business-related, as Maguire is set to attend an event by high-tech start-up Mobli. Mobli is a smart phone application that allows users to share events in real time with videos and pictures. Both Maguire and fellow Hollywood celebrity Leonardo DiCaprio have invested in the start-up, and Maguire was expected to make an appearance at an event hosted by the companys CEO Moshe Hogeg.
