Israel continues its efforts to expose the true face of the Iranian regime: Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon revealed on Wednesday satellite images showing an Iranian ballistic missile test using a Star of David as a target.

The test, conducted last December, involved the medium-range Qiam missile.

Danon shared the disturbing satellite image of the Jewish symbol with members of the U.N. Security Council, calling Iran's actions "heinous" as well as in breach of the Security Council's Resolution 2231.

"This use of the Star of David as target practice is hateful and unacceptable," Danon wrote in a complaint letter to the council. "This missile test not only violates Security Council resolutions but also proves beyond any doubt, once again, the true intentions of Iran to target Israel," the letter said.

"It is the Iranians who prop up the Assad regime as hundreds of thousands are killed, finance the terrorists of Hezbollah as they threaten the citizens of Israel, and support extremists and tyrants throughout the Middle East and around the world. I call on the Security Council to respond decisively to these Iranian violations and provocations," Danon said.

Danon's fierce denunciation joins harsh criticism leveled by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at Iran's controversial testing of ballistic missiles. Iran has repeatedly called for Israel's demise, and has installed a digital clock in Tehran counting down the days until the "destruction of Israel."
