Israel Hayom reporter and columnist Nadav Shragai has been awarded the prestigious Jabotinsky Prize for Literature and Research for his book "The Secret of the Disappearing Wall," which discusses the unknown sections of the Western Wall on which homes in the Muslim Quarter of Jerusalem's Old City lean, including the "Little Western Wall."

Jerusalem has been the focus of Shragai's research and media work for years. He has written six books about the city.

In addition to Shragai, this year's Jabotinsky Prize also went to legal scholar Dr. Nathan Brun, who was cited for his book "Law, Passions, and Politics" (Steimatzky), which examines the Israeli legal system in the early years of the state.

Shragai and Brun were given the prize at a ceremony last week in Tel Aviv. Culture and Sport Minister Miri Regev attended the event.
