Palestinian social media users have been expressing outrage after video footage emerged showing a wounded Palestinian rioter, who had been shot after throwing rocks at Israeli security forces, being dragged away by soldiers with his head hitting the ground. The man received medical treatment but was later pronounced dead. The video shows him being carried by four soldiers, who were rushing him to a medical vehicle that was standing ready to take him to the hospital. Despite the questions over the incident, the video clearly shows the soldiers running to the man's aid. While they are carrying him away, a voice -- apparently of one of the soldiers -- is heard saying, "Guys, be careful." The riots continued after the man was evacuated. According to reports by news agencies, the man was Qusai Hassan al-Amour, 18, who was shot in the chest. Al Jazeera reported that four other Palestinians were injured during the rioting. The IDF Spokesperson's Unit issued a statement on the incident, saying: "During a riot by more than 200 Palestinians in the village of Tekoa near Bethlehem, which included throwing rocks and Molotov cocktails at security forces, a Border Policeman responded by firing shots at one of the rioters. After identifying the hit, IDF forces reached the wounded man to provide immediate first aid. "As [the man] was being evacuated, rocks were thrown at the forces, putting them in danger, so the wounded man was removed rapidly to a safe place, where first aid was initiated. However, he was later declared dead." The IDF said the incident is still being investigated.
