Two notable ultra-Orthodox mystics have predicted that Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will be elected as the next president of the United States in the coming elections.

Kabbalist Rabbi Roni Hacohen from Gan Yavne in central Israel, who in the past made a series of correct predictions regarding Israeli politicians, apparently also predicted Trump's victory as early as six months ago, according to sources close to the rabbi.

Hacohen told Israel Hayom that he received a "message that Trump is going to be the next president. I saw his image and didn't even know who he was. In my dream I could see him winning these elections. After learning who he was, I was told that he was lagging in the polls, but I wasn't concerned. This guy is all about miracles, I can't explain it -- some things defy nature, because despite being snubbed by his party and having all sorts of problems, he keeps landing on his feet. I wrote him a letter about my prophesy. He is a very tough and practical leader. He is going to be the next president, period."

Following his dream, Hacohen traveled to the U.S. to meet with the Republican candidate. Sources close to the rabbi say the meeting was documented, but would not elaborate.

Hacohen is not the only rabbi who believes Trump is on the path to victory. Ultra-Orthodox news site Behadrey Haredim‎ reported that a prominent kabbalist from Bnei Brak sent a message to Trump via attorney Marc Zell, the co-chairman of Republicans Overseas Israel, telling him that according to the Zohar (a set of 23 books of mystical commentary on the Torah), he is going to win the elections.

Zell confirmed meeting with the unnamed kabbalist and his entourage. He said that he passed the message along to the Trump campaign and to the Republican candidate's Jewish advisers, who were thrilled by the news.

Meanwhile, Safed Chief Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu expressed deep dislike for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, asserting that her adviser, Huma Abedin, is "a radical Muslim." Abedin married Jewish former Congressman Anthony Weiner in 2010, though the two separated this year due to Weiner's ongoing sexting scandal.

Eliyahu also noted the Clinton Foundation's decision to honor Palestinian teacher Hanan Al Hroub, whose husband served 10 years in Israeli prison for his role in a deadly 1980 terrorist attack in Hebron.

Most voters among the estimated 400,000 ultra-Orthodox Jews living in the United States are expected to vote for Trump based on his conservative outlook on religious issues. One of the largest groups, the anti-Zionist Satmar hassidic ‎movement, has pledged support for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.
