Israel Hayom journalist Daniel Siryoti awarded social justice prize

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's wife, Sara Netanyahu, presents Israel Hayom's northern affairs and Arab affairs reporter Daniel Siryoti with Defender of Social Justice award for his contribution to Holocaust survivors and the needy in Israel.

Israel Hayom journalist Daniel Siryoti has been awarded the Defender of Social Justice prize by the Yad Ezer Lechaver Foundation, which helps Holocaust survivors and the needy.

The prize committee voted unanimously to award Siryoti the prize, citing his contribution to the needy and to Holocaust survivors in Israel as Israel Hayom's correspondent on issues in northern Israel and Arab affairs.

Siryoti was presented with the prize by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's wife, Sara Netanyahu, at a formal ceremony at the International Convention Center in Haifa.

More than 1,000 people attended the ceremony, including Haifa Mayor Yona Yahav and Yad Ezer Lechaver founder and Chairman Shimon Sabag.
