In December 2010, Kay Wilson was nearly killed by Palestinian terrorists in a stabbing attack in the Jerusalem Forest outside Beit Shemesh. Wilson's friend, Kristine Luken, died in the attack.

On Sunday, Wilson, a resident of Arad, flew to Geneva, Switzerland to protest against the U.N. Human Rights Council, which was set to convene on Monday to debate a series of anti-Israel resolutions.

"The U.N. Human Rights Council convenes only to condemn Israel," Wilson said before her departure. "It doesn't refer to Palestinian terrorism, what is happening in Syria or the Islamic State group. This council has an obsession with Israel."

Wilson continued: "The U.N. Human Rights Council ignores all the crimes committed in many countries in the world. Therefore, I decided to go tell them my story."

A large demonstration was set to be held outside the U.N. Human Rights Council headquarters on Monday. The featured speaker was to be Yesh Atid leader Yair Lapid.

The demonstration was organized by a number of pro-Israel groups, including the Israel Allies Foundation, StandWithUs, the Swiss-Israel Friendship Association, the European Union of Jewish Students, the World Union of Jewish Students and the World Zionist Organization, among others.

Ahead of the demonstration, Lapid said he would advocate a halt of funding of the U.N. Human Rights Council. Lapid called the council an "anti-Semitic organization that supports terrorism."
