Israel's first-ever basketball player in the NBA, Omri Casspi, scored a career high 31 points Tuesday night to help the Sacramento Kings beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 116-11.

Casspi, who also plays for the Israeli national team, grabbed five rebounds, dished out one assist and had one steal in his 35 minutes of playing time.

"I'm happy we won the game more than anything," Casspi said after his milestone game. "I got in a good rhythm and I wasn't forcing shots. It felt good."

The Israeli national was sidelined with a left knee injury earlier in the season and has been in and out of the starting lineup since. He's been a regular in new Kings coach George Karl's lineup and is averaging 15.3 points over his last five games.

Meanwhile, Sim Bhullar, Sacramento’s 7-foot-5 center, made history when he checked in for the final 16.1 seconds, becoming the first player of Indian descent to play in an NBA game.

Casspi told his teammate to savor the moment.

"I told him to enjoy the ride," Casspi said. "You got two billion Indians looking up to you. Be the best role model you can be and have fun with it."
