מתי בפעם האחרונה הייתם בחתונה? סביר שהיא הייתה באולם אירועים או גן אירועים, עם בופה פתיחה, בר אקטיבי ומנה של בשר או דג. אבל בטוח שגם לכם יש חבר או חברה שהחליטו להתחתן על חוף הים, או על רכס כורכר בשרון ואתם בטוחים שהם ממש קיצוניים.
אם ככה, אז רצוי שתכירו את הזוג הזה. אשלי שמידר וג'יימס סיסון מבריטניה רצו חתונה בלתי שגרתית, גם בתחום החתונות הבלתי שגרתיות. הזוג החליט להינשא, לאחר טראק משותף של 3 חודשים, בסמוך לפסגתו של ההר הגבוה בעולם, הר האוורסט.
בשביל הרעיון השאפתני הם שכרו את שירותיו של צלם חתונות אקסטרים (כן, יש דבר כזה, גם אנחנו לא ידענו), צ'רלטון צ'רצ'יל, שהחל לתכנן את המשימה הבלתי פשוטה בעליל.

על אף התמונות המדהימות, התנאים "מאחורי הקלעים" של צילום אלבום החתונה לא היו אופטימליים או נוחים. "הידיים שלי קפאו אפילו דרך הכפפות", כתב צ'ר'ציל בבלוג שלו אך מיהר להוסיף: "אין תהילת עולם ללא סבל".
Preparing to head back to Mt. Everest for a wedding at Base Camp next month. . I remember and honor my previous couple, Jen and Erik, who attempted the wedding at base camp in 2015 when the earthquake struck. They decided to get married in the valley of the shadow of death.
