A 24-year-old Israeli man died in Peru on Wednesday when he fell from a zipline platform near the popular Machu Picchu tourist site, the Foreign Ministry confirmed. The man, identified as Max Sela, was reportedly hiking in the area with a group of other Israelis. According to media reports, the platform from which he fell was 80 meters (260 feet) above the ground. The Foreign Ministry confirmed that the man's family was notified of his death. Local police were investigating the incident.
