A year after 16-year-old Shira Banki was murdered at the 2015 Jerusalem Gay Pride Parade, her parents have announced the establishment of a new organization dedicated to educating the public about tolerance. The organization, "Shira Banki's Path," will hold lectures, classes and a series of podcasts about historical figures who fought for the inclusion of others. A Headstart crowdfunding campaign has been launched to finance the organization's educational programming. A number of prominent Israeli musicians have contributed to the campaign in a show of support, many of them offering tickets to their concerts. Among the artists who have contributed are journalist and playwright Yehonatan Geffen, rocker Yehuda Poliker, hip hop group Hadag Nahash, and singers Shlomi Shaban, Efrat Gosh, Nadav Abukasis, Rona Kenan, Danni Bassan, Aya Korem.
