Police have launched an investigation into radical left-wing activists suspected of providing Palestinian Authority security forces with the names of Palestinians who wanted to sell land to Jews in the Har Hebron region. Palestinians who sell land to Jews face torture and death in the Palestinian Authority. Following a report on the matter aired by Channel 2's "Uvda" program last Thursday, members of the right-wing "Ad Kan" movement filed police complaints against Ezra Nawi (a Taayush activist) and Nasser Nawaj'ah (a B'Tselem organizer). The "Uvda" report showed secretly recorded footage of the two turning in a Palestinian land broker to PA security forces. Har Hebron Regional Council head Yochai Damari sent a letter to Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein on Sunday calling for a proper investigation to be conducted into the activities detailed in the "Uvda" report. Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon said on Sunday, "Under the guise of human rights, some incite against the State of Israel, spread lies and, as it has become apparent, endanger the lives of Palestinian land brokers by turning them in to the PA, which imprisons and even executes them. For the purpose of harming the State of Israel, everything is permissible. This is based on hatred and other despicable motives."
