WikiLeaks: Chelsea Clinton used foundation money for wedding

In emails exposed by WikiLeaks, former Bill Clinton aide Doug Band complains to Hillary Clinton's current campaign chief, John Podesta, about Chelsea's spending, calling her a "spoiled brat" • Report: Rahm Emanuel also used private email account.

Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton, used funds from her family's foundation to pay for her wedding, living expenses and taxes on gifts of cash from her parents, according to an email made public via WikiLeaks on Sunday, the New York Post reported.

In an email from Jan. 4, 2012, Doug Band, a former top adviser to Bill Clinton, complained about Chelsea's spending to John Podesta, now Hillary Clinton's campaign chairman, citing "the investigation into her getting paid for campaigning, using foundation resources for her wedding and life for a decade, taxes on money from her parents. I hope that you will speak to her and end this. Once we go down this road ...," Band wrote.

According to the New York Post, Band's letter is part of a chain of emails that were hacked from Podesta's Gmail account. Over the past 32 days, WikiLeaks has released more than 50,000 of the stolen emails.

In an earlier correspondence with Podesta, Band said he had "just received a call from a close friend" of Bill Clinton's.

Band said the friend revealed that Chelsea had told one of George W. Bush's daughters that she was looking into transfers of money from the Clinton Global Initiative to the Clinton Foundation.

"The Bush kid then told someone else who told an operative within the Republican Party," Band wrote.

In previously leaked emails, the New York Post reported, Band also called Chelsea Clinton a "spoiled brat" and said he had "heard more and more chatter" about her.

Also Sunday, the WikiLeaks exposure led to a report in the Chicago Tribune that Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel -- President Barack Obama's first chief of staff -- communicated with government officials and political figures using a private email account similar to the one set up by Hillary Clinton.

Emanuel, according to the report, registered the rahmemail.com personal email domain on May 16, 2011, the same day he was sworn into office. Clinton used the domain clintonemail.com.
