Two Israeli civilians were lightly wounded on Friday when a female Palestinian terrorist rammed a vehicle into their parked car at the entrance to Kiryat Arba in Judea. IDF soldiers at the scene opened fire at the terrorist, killing her. The dead terrorist was a resident of the nearby Palestinian village of Bani Naim. Kiryat Arba Mayor Malachi Levinger said, "As we expected, the events of Ramadan have inflamed an already tense sector. Security forces must take the right steps to deliver a fatal blow to terrorists and those who dispatch them." Since last fall, 32 Israelis and two American tourists have been killed in Palestinian terrorist attacks.

The wounded Israelis, a couple in their 50s, had stopped at a bus stop at the entrance to Kiryat Arba to pick up hitchhikers. They were transported to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem for treatment and were later released.
