Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with visiting Google Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt in Jerusalem on Tuesday, and the pair discussed the cyber industry in Israel. Netanyahu told Schmidt that Israel would continue to work to attract investments of multinational companies. He highlighted Israel's effort to diversity the markets with which it has trade relations in the technology field. Schmidt noted that Israel is second only to Silicon Valley in terms of number of start-ups, with over 6,000 start-ups established in Israel over the past decade. He said Israel is a global leader in the technology industry and that Google's commitment to invest in Israel would continue.
