Report: 'Jihadi John' wounded in airstrikes

Britain's Mail on Sunday reports that Jihadi John, the English-speaking executioner in the Islamic State group's brutal beheading videos, was injured in a coalition airstrike last Saturday, along with the terrorist group's leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

"Jihadi John," the Islamic State group operative seen performing the executions of Western hostages in the infamous beheading videos released by the terrorist organization, was wounded in coalition forces airstrikes, Britain's Mail on Sunday reported.

The report quotes a British Foreign Ministry official responding to the claim, saying: "We are aware of reports that this individual [Jihadi John] has been injured, and we are looking into them."

According to the report. Jihadi John was injured while attending a meeting of Islamic State leaders in Iraq last Saturday.

The terror group's leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, was also reported to have been badly injured in the same strike, but he released a recorded message calling for jihad only days later.

Meanwhile, terrorist group Ansar Beit al-Maqdis, which operates against the Egyptian security forces in the Sinai Peninsula, announced that there would soon be an Islamic State cell in Sinai.

The group also released a video of the gruesome attack it carried out against Egyptian soldiers.
