Religious and secular Israelis will host one another in thousands of households across the country for a shared Shabbat dinner this Friday, Oct. 24. The "Shabbat Israelit" ("Israeli Sabbath") initiative, launched by the Beit Hillel organization, aims to "have a joint dinner on Shabbat of families from different backgrounds -- religious, secular or traditional.'
