Religious, secular Israelis to share Shabbat dinner

On Friday, Oct. 24, religious and secular Israelis in thousands of homes across the country will open their doors to one another for a shared Shabbat meal • Goal of "Shabbat Israelit" ("Israeli Sabbath") is to "connect religious and secular families."

Religious and secular Israelis will host one another in thousands of households across the country for a shared Shabbat dinner this Friday, Oct. 24.

The "Shabbat Israelit" ("Israeli Sabbath") initiative, launched by the Beit Hillel organization, aims to "have a joint dinner on Shabbat of families from different backgrounds -- religious, secular or traditional.'
