Israel Defense Forces Capt. Ziv Shilon, who lost an arm in an explosion on the Gaza border in October 2012, proposed to his girlfriend Adi Sitbon at a Friends of the Israel Defense Forces event in Florida on Thursday. Shilon, a guest of honor at the event, gave a moving speech in which he talked about his injury and his recovery. At the end of the speech, he invited his girlfriend Adi to the stage and proposed to her. She said yes. In a video message, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu congratulated the couple. "Ziv, you are a great example of love for your homeland, of what is heroic and of making a sacrifice," Netanyahu said.
