KIEV -- In Kiev's Independence Square, there is no trust in politicians, yet they continue to work. Members of deposed President Victor Yanukovych's party who have already announced that they do not support him, and opposition party members: Retired boxer Vitali Klitschko, Arseniy Yatsenyuk (Yulia Tymoshenko's man) and nationalist Oleh Tyahnybok. Kostyantyn Bizogy is a member of parliament from Klitschko's Ukrainian Democratic Alliance for Reform. He knows a few words in Hebrew, but prefers to be interviewed in Russian. Why do I not see happiness in Independence Square- Bizogy: "They are celebrating victory, but in a restrained way because the country's political and economic situation is not clear. It is not easy for people today. They want a new reality. Citizens have taken upon themselves the task of policing, and they do not trust the political system because politicians took bribes and were not honest. It is not normal, just like the situation today. We need stability." What do you think Moscow will do- Bizogy: "Russia will do something, I have no doubt. I do not know which path they will choose. Will they harm us economically or will it be a discrete sort of harm? You must understand that we are within their sphere of influence, so they will not give up easily. Also, many Crimean residents have Ukrainian and Russian citizenship, so the Russians can say that they are coming to help their citizens. You must understand that in Ukraine, we do not hate Russians. Our nations are brothers. I think that today, the situation is raising concern, but I am optimistic about the future." What about the concern over rising anti-Semitism in Ukraine in the wake of the revolution- Bizogy: "I do not hide my Judaism. I will not tell you that I have not heard racist comments in the parliament, even in [Independence] Square, I heard people wondering about my religious background. But it is quite ironic: For the first time in Kiev, it is better to be Jewish than Russian."
