No. 1-ranked Yarden Gerbi of Israel took the women's gold in the 63-kilogram division at the judo world championships in Brazil on Thursday by beating No. 2-ranked Clarisse Agbegnenou of France. Agbegnenou briefly passed out after Gerbi's strangulation move that earned her the title less than a minute into the fight. The bronze medals went to Gevrise Emane of France and Anicka Van Emden of the Netherlands.
