U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon recently issued a message honoring the 1.5 million children who were killed in the Holocaust, as part of "The Holocaust and the United Nations Outreach Programme." Created in 2005, the program's goal as written in its manifesto is "to remind the world of the lessons to be learnt from the Holocaust in order to help to prevent future acts of genocide."
