Family of slain Israeli teen visits Temple Mount

Dozens of relatives of Hallel Yaffa Ariel, the 13-year-old Israeli girl who was stabbed to death by a Palestinian terrorist in Kiryat Arba two weeks ago, visit the Temple Mount on Tuesday • Ariel's mother: Visit meant to strengthen the nation's heart.

Family members of Hallel Yaffa Ariel, the 13-year-old Israeli girl who was stabbed to death by a Palestinian terrorist as she slept in her bed inside her home in Kiryat Arba two weeks ago, visited the Temple Mount in Jerusalem on Tuesday.

Israel Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said around 80 relatives of the slain girl took part in the Temple Mount visit, which passed without incident.

Agriculture Minister Uri Ariel (Habayit Hayehudi) and Likud MK Yehuda Glick were among the hundreds of people who attended a rally outside the entrance to the ramp leading to the Temple Mount's Mughrabi Gate before the visit began. Neither of the two was permitted to enter the Temple Mount compound itself, due to a directive issued by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The girl's mother, Rina Ariel, said the Temple Mount visit was aimed to "strengthen the nation's heart."
