The Ariel Sharon Park near Tel Aviv will inaugurate a new compound on Tuesday, marking the completion of a massive conversion of a former landfill into an eco-friendly park. A helicopter tour of the park, located on the former Hiriya landfill, was held on Wednesday ahead of the grand opening. "When completed, the entire mountain will be open for the public."

"Work on the park is ongoing and the next stage of development is ready to go," park overseer Moshe Borochov said.
